CAVACHON BABIES

Cavachon babies are "ROYALTY in a fur coat", and for those who prefer the finer things in life!  We gave them fun baby names, which can be changed by those lucky enough to take one home...the week of THE ROYAL WEDDING!

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, quiet lady "FRECKLES"(pictured following puppies below) gave birth to these 4 beauties, which we now proudly share with you.  Their father is mister "SNICKERS" , a jaunty, affectionate Bichon Frise suitor of J.E. Farms.

Our Cavalier and Cavachon females are pets,  and litters of this gentle, hybrid companion dog will only be offered occasionally during their younger years. In so doing, we hope to strengthen and preserve the sweetness and health of two compatible breeds, while also reducing their shedding factor, and share them with those who know how wonderful they really are.  Our contact info is at the bottom of post.

KNOW what's in your dog's food!

After researching, shopping, comparing and gaining a base-line understanding of canine nutritional balance, I have chosen a few "good" dry kibble brands to rotate, and COOK my own recipe of specific ingredients to add for topping on their kibbles. THE DOGS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS, AND I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE GETTING! This may not look real appetizing, but it actually smells delicious while cooking. Here is the recipe:
1 1/2 cup OATS
1 cup CARROTS
1/4 cup FLAX SEED
1 cup GREEN BEANS
1 APPLE
1 1/2 cup PUMPKIN
1 cup MILK
2 cups WATER
1 cup BROWN RICE
2 cups BEEF LIVER
1 cup CHICKEN BREAST
2 Tbsp OLIVE OIL
2 EGGS
1 cup YOGURT
All can be chopped or minced, combined, then simmered at least 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool. Fills 5 Yogurt containers (650ml). I freeze them, take one out the night before using, and add about 1/3 cup per dog to their kibbles with each feeding, twice a day. It means you can cut down on kibbles by about 1/2 after established on this menu.  And the doggies all say HOWLELUJAH!

WINTER

Months have passed since I last posted here, but plenty has been happening here in our little world.  We have grieved the tragic loss of  Mory, and welcomed his little son,

Mory II. A HUGE THANKS to Jill and Will for their kindness in adding him to our  Cavalier collection.  Mory used to love watching the snow fall while looking out the living room window, and that's captured in this beautiful top picture we have of him. Little Mory II (this photo)is just as relaxed about all of life, and we are often reminded of his father as he grows up here with all the "girls"...

Adding to my collection...

Introducing "Liza"...specially made for us! We've been watching and hoping for a little "someone" with red hair, green eyes and a brown nose!!  Liza has all three...and brains to boot!  We're already having lots of fun with her, and the adult dogs stand amazed while she wriggles, dances and runs circles around them! She also CLIMBS up, over and OUT of the enclosure!! So folks who just purchased puppies and enclosures...that is why I suggest the 30" height for growing pets. Liza's will also need a LID! :)
The entire fenced play area behind our house is golden with leaves changing color, and the dogs seem to sense the beauty.  They will suddenly stop their chase and sit watching the falling leaves...

Happy FALL everyone!  Its BEAUTIFUL!!
